Meditation

The English word meditation comes from the Latin meditatio, which originally indicated every type of physical or intellectual exercise, then later evolved into the more specific meaning "contemplation." the late nineteenth century, Theosophists adopted the word "meditation" to refer to various spiritual practices drawn from Hinduism, Buddhism, and other Eastern religions.
Meditation involves the mind which is dissolved and free of all thoughts, a mental "opening up" to the divine.
Meditation is a three step process that leads to a state of consciousness that brings serenity & clarity. There is a list of 108 different meditation techniques.

“Meditation is the straight flight of the mind to the Kingdom of Heaven present in the heart of everyone”
